So hard to say the word ’sorry’?

During the office hours, the train was very packed with passenger. At Commonwealth station, a China guy board the train and he accidentally stepped on this middle aged pregnant lady. She was very mad and cursed that guy because he refuse to say sorry.

I wonder what’s wrong with people these days. Firstly, she is pregnant and nobody is giving up seats for her and then secondly why can’t people just say ’sorry’ when they accidentally step on someone?
